Section 6
Functions, Duties and Powers of the Center

In addition to the functions, duties and powers written elsewhere in this Act, the functions, duties and powers of the Center shall be as follows:
(a) To formulate and implement policies, plans and programs necessary for the achievement of the objectives of the Centre, (b) To provide universally accessible high-quality health services necessary for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of heart disease,
(c) To conduct the national heart disease prevention and control program for the prevention of heart disease and the rehabilitation of heart patients,
(d) To prepare the necessary skilled manpower for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of heart disease,
(e) to organize and conduct high-level studies, research, surveys, seminars, meetings, conferences, seminars, etc. in order to fulfill the objectives of the center and to participate in related national and international meetings, conferences, seminars, seminars, etc.
(f) To improve the level of work related to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and the rehabilitation of heart patients by maintaining contact and coordination with domestic and foreign, governmental and non-governmental organizations and preparing national policies, plans and programs in this regard and submitting them to the Government of Nepal.
(G) To provide technical assistance to the bodies involved in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and the rehabilitation of heart patients,

(H) To provide scholarships, medals and awards for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of heart disease,
(i) Setting and receiving fees for various services such as health services, counseling services, research services, laboratory services etc. provided by the center,
(j) Obtaining and operating the financial, technical and other support required by the Center from the Government of Nepal or foreign governments or national or international associations, institutions, bodies or individuals for the operation of the Center,
(k) Establishing relations with domestic and foreign, governmental and non-governmental organizations related to heart disease, WisWire and strengthen mutual cooperation,
(l) To share specialist services related to heart disease in the national and international areas,
(D) Conduct mobile health services related to heart diseases as per the need,
(d) Providing information about the utility and effectiveness of health services against heart disease and heart disease, publishing or providing various materials about health care related to heart disease and raising public awareness. (n) Development of model information and research areas in designated districts for information flow and research, management in heart disease related health services,
(p) To develop, expand and diversify the necessary scientific equipment, laboratory, library and other facilities for the center,
(h) Periodically review and evaluate the schemes and programs run by the Centre,
(d) To periodically inform the Government of Nepal about the policy decisions taken by the Center and the progress made in relation to its implementation,
(d) To submit the annual report of the center to the government of Nepal,

(n) To carry out other necessary works to fulfill the objectives of the center.
